Open Series - Held in the Light
This is the second Open Series and brings together three high key bird images.
These three images were selected from a shortlist of five through community participation. Thank you to everyone who helped shape this series and thanks for the thoughtful comments.
The prints are produced as A3 archival prints on Ilford Smooth Pearl paper (see full print details below).
Each print is produced, inspected and packaged by me, personally.
Intent
The Pied Kingfisher lacks the iridescent brilliance of the Malachite Kingfisher, but its striking black and white plumage lends itself perfectly to monochrome. A remarkable bird to watch, and one I never tire of photographing.
